Photopress 0.5.1 for testing

I finally added a delete function, but I haven’t had a lot of time to test it out yet. As far as I can tell it doesn’t do anything really harmful, but you never know.

I also figured out how to list posts containing an image. It’s turned off by default because it doesn’t work perfectly - the default sidebar thinks individual images in the album are searches when it’s turned on. This can be fixed by editing sidebar.php, but that’s lame.

Finally, Photopress now looks in your theme folder for a template called pp_album.php and uses that for the album template if it exists. Seems like it makes more sense for custom album templates to go in with the theme files, and now when upgrading there’ll be no need to worry about overwriting your custom template. If it doesn’t find a custom template it still just uses the default.

So, if you want to try it out, download photopress-0.5.1.zip or photopress-0.5.1.tar.gz. Let me know if you find anything broken, or if you have ideas about how to make it work better.

Hello Isaac! Thanks for the upgrade.

The post find feature is interesting, and there doesn’t seem to be any apparent problem. However, I can’t find the delete feature you wrote about in the manage album page. Maybe I’m just dumb.

BTW, what about this idea: Turn off the displaying of thumbnails in the manage album page … or make it an option in the options page (display thumbnails in manage album). So that when we’re going to manage the album, we don’t need to wait for dozens of images to load up. Instead of the thumbnail, you could have a link for the image file (maybe a popup link), so that you can check it if you can’t remember what image it is.

Anyway, thanks again for the great plugin!

Thanks for the update! Everything seems to be working fine except for a few things.

I’m having the same problem as Claus. I can’t find the delete button. Could someone point me in the right place?

Also, is there a way to move the ‘Photo Album’ link from Meta to my ‘Pages’ category?

A couple of things I would like:
    - dropdown boxes for categories (rather than typing the category name each time)
    - the ability to add categories
    - assigning an image to a category when uploading

Also, I can’t find where the settings for the array are kept in the database (i.e. where the category names are stored).

Lastly, and maybe it’s just me, but the image name is displayed as the file title and not the description I entered when uploading - any way to find/fix this?

    Hi,
The gallery is working really well for me. One thing though, it seems that the Description field does not get saved anywhere after the file is uploaded? Am i missing something. I can fix it myself, but I was wondering if I was not getting it and there was a better way.
